Shahrak Baharan Education Supplies

Yarra Foundation heard from a young teacher, Kourosh, a dedicated teacher who teaches at a rural school in Shahrak Baharan, located in the rural parts of Kurdistan. Although this area is close to urban areas, it has remained disadvantaged due to the economic circumstances of the community.

Kourosh has identified twenty one students who are in need of financial support for schooling. That was when YarraFoundation stepped in. For these twenty one students, Yarra Foundation has provided new school bags and complete school supplies. Kourosh later described to us the smile on each of his students' face when they opened their new school bags and the appreciation they felt for the support Yarra was able to provide.
